The Normans in North America!

Still Living the Adventure

El Jadida November 28, 2010

A few weeks ago, we visited a beautiful nearby city called El Jadida. It is a port city that was fortified (then eventually left) by the Portuguese centuries ago, and the old city, or medina, is still within the fortified walls today. They have a cool cistern dating back to the time of the Portuguese. That, plus its prime location for wind-surfing, are really the only large attractions of this small town, but we really enjoyed our short visit there with some friends of ours. It’s nice to just get outside of Casa and to some new scenery. Raelyn was glad to be back home (and half-naked) at the end of the day. 🙂
